| **** HILLARY NO, BARACK YES? **** |
| 05.08.08 (3:56 pm) [edit] |
Having just recently read the results of the latest primaries, and with Barack Obama winning quite easily in North Carolina and with an overall delegate total 152 more than Hillary Rodham Clinton I am beginning to feel that Hillary may not be able to achieve enough success with the remaining delegates to "overtake" Mr.Obama! Who would have thought even a year ago that anyone would give Ms:Clinton a run for her money literally! With Clinton having her coffers filled with millions of dollars in political contributions and millions more on the way and with an organization in place throughout the United States she was naturally thought to be a "shoe-in" for the Democratic nomination come election time this November. But guess what, something or should I also say someone happened along the way and a not so well known young senator named Barack Obama came to the surface to meet her challenge! With an outstanding ability for oration and a charismatic personality people arrived in "droves" to support Obama in his bid for the Democratic nomination and hopefully onward to the White House! Over the last year beginning with his well placed showings in Iowa and New Hampshire, Mr.Obama's organization began to congeal and started to make inroads on his bid for the Presidency of the United States. Mrs.Clinton went from looking over her shoulder to seeing Obama's back instead, not a sight I believe many supporters of her would ever have ever imagined. Now as the nomination for the Democrats is in the home stretch, many who were in denial about Obama's chances of winning the nomination, are jumping on his "bandwagon" and looking very foolish I might add at the same time! In the final analysis, it just goes to show that regardless of how well you are known politically and regardless of a well oiled political machine in place with millions of dollars in "donations" nothing is ever over until it is over. Even if by some fluke Clinton does come from behind to win the nomination, this "race" for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency will go down in American political history as not only the closest and tightest race ever seen but most of all of how it opened the doors for all people who might someday and one day desire to be the President of the United States! & nbsp; &n bsp; &nb sp; &nbs p;   ; & nbsp; &n bsp; TIMM17
