So long ago and not so faraway, eyes of two lovers
met by glance with welcoming smiles****
absolutely so foreign to one to the other, the eyes
bare the truth more often than not****
what is this truth we hold
so fiercely from one another, like the pearl so
soon to be discovered****
as we remove flesh exposed in the raw, scars to yet heal are once more opened
for all to see****
the eye like a screen will
filter such half truths, to
show the light of of day
for who we truly are not****
windows of time much to
brief to invent other lies,
will you accept such talk from this small opening****
the truth in love is not the heart, but more so
to act as a gateway to a
home not so far away**
