**NOT SO LONG AGO**
02.25.08 (9:34 pm)   [edit]
Just a few days ago one of my closest friends passed away after being ill for quite sometime. She had been expected to live much longer than she did so all of us felt so deprived of her presence oh so suddenly. Although we all have ind- ividual memories of her as a very loving person, we still feel cheated by her disapperance from our lives. her and I use to travel all the natural pathways along the lake and talk about how this summer was going to be our best. it would (the summer) go by so fast that by the fall we would be saying the same thing about summer the follow-ing year! Another thing I remember about us sharing time together was when we would start driving down some nameless road and not really caring where we would end up. Anywhere was what we made of it and it didn't matter when we got home. Other times we would "window-shop" down the main street of a nearby town and say next time we are here I'm going to get whatever we couldn't afford to get right at that time. It is small times like these that I find I miss her the most and yet it has only been 2 days since her passing and the memeories keep rushing in. I guess I will probably experience this for awhile yet, and how I deal with it will determine the true course of time I will mourn. It was not so long ago! Timm17 COPYRIGHT-2008 WINDSONG PRESS

You have my sympathy for your loss! I'm glad you have great memories to keep her alive!! It's rather sad..Friends are left out at funerals! The family's get the sympathy...the friends get nothing but a big hole left in their heart! Lots of times friends knew them even better than family, yet are totally forgotten at the funeral!
