**** ISRAEL AND HAMAS - IT IS THEIR TIME FOR PEACE ****
07.31.08 (10:40 am)   [edit]

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;     ;      ****THE WORLD OF  T****

The summer of love, was that 1967 or 1867? Well lets' see how much I know about what is going on around the globe if anything at all! With the possibility of Israel's Prime Minister stepping down very soon it appears on the surface anyways that peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (Hamas) are once again going to be delayed or outright cancelled. Although this comes as really no surprise to anyone least of all me, it does beg the question why even bother to take steps for an "everlasting" peace.

You see the thing about conducting peace talks between these two parties usually ends up on the scrap heap and with plans of peace entitled like Bush's so called " road map to peace" I cannot help to find this whole "process"" hysterically laughable. It's not that I am laughing at the possibility of an everlasting peace but more so the methods they attempt to use to negotiate such settlements. I mean really, here is George W. Bush conducting a war in Iraq and God knows where else we don't know about(yet), and at the same time time trying to be a "peacemaker" on the world stage. I would dare say that for the most part people have stopped listening to this idiot years ago and if you have not then you are as stupid as he is!

In conclusion, the only way there will ever be hope of an eternal peace in this region is when all parties concerned put their ulterior motives and greed aside and just let Israel and Hamas work things out. They sure cannot do any worse then  what has gone on previously in their feeble attempts to appear to be peace brokers in the Middle East. This land has been inhabited by Jews and Arabs for thousands of years, so it would only be fair to both parties if everybody else would just "butt" out and keep their opinions to themselves.

**** WHEN THE REASONS NO LONGER MATTER ****
07.26.08 (9:34 am)   [edit]

Is there anyone out there who truly understands the way you really feel. Do they understand your sadness and the heartbreak of a relationship gone terribly wrong. More to the point can you tell the difference between true understanding of your plight and when someone may have an ulterior motive. Does there ever come a time when all of a sudden your "friends" disappear slowly but surely from your life when you perhaps really need them most?

Does it feel at times when you are at your most vulnerable point after the breakup of your relationship that you feel so terribly lonely that you wonder what the heck happened to you? Is it any wonder that you feel so helpless to do anything to raise your own spirits. Have you ever wondered was it really worth it to offer your heart to someone only to have it crushed so indifferently. Have you ever looked deep into your own heart and discovered just how dark it can become?

What is the true measure of the love that has so suddenly left you feeling so void. Why do some people continue to stay in abusive relationships and more so why do they continue to believe that their mate will not hurt them again, even though they know history is bound to repeat itself with this same individual? Why do some people literally beg their abusers to let them come back and how could they tolerate even the idea of once againallowing this person to abuse them once more!

To most of these questions I profess to really have no answers to or for but from a personal standpoint and having gone through such experiences sometimes it really does not matter anymore what the reasons are. Perhaps it is more important to realize that it is time to get out of this kind of relationship and I mean like yesterday and let tomorrow take care of itself. Do you really need to believe again in such B.S. after what they have put you through....No Way!!!!

**** BYE, BYE MISS AMERICAN PIE, HELLO FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST ****
07.24.08 (10:37 am)   [edit]

This morning as I awakened a very popular song entitled "American Pie" by Don McLean was playing on the radio and as I listened to it  memories of the time it was written  were brought back to me. Through the course of the last 36 years since it's debut, many people have offered many opinions on just exactly what they thought the lyrics meant actually and I of course was just one of those individuals. Each time I hear this song played on whatever and whenever, it feels just like the first time I heard it in 1972. It rocks me to my very core emotionally.

Having lived through part of the time that this song eulogizes, I have found that regardless of the contentious lyrics(supposedly) I find that personally, I believe that when Don McLean wrote this song it was primarily based on his own experience living through that time. Unlike most people with the written word he was just much more adept at defining thoses times and the events that transpired over that period.

There is just something about this song that sends shivers up my spine when I hear it and ata times I feel like I have been transported back in time to this period of innocence and the discovery of thenew music that would inevitably alter all of our lives whether we thought so or not. In this song there is one particular line that really enforces the thought that todays' so called musicians are nothing more than bad imposters who could not hold a note if you paid them to.

The line I am talking about is "the day the music died" which in hindsight is to a great extent quite true. The plane that killed Richie Valance, the Big Bopper and Buddy Holly transformed music as we now know it and the impact on each of our lives is immeasurable. The fact that todays' music has no originality or creativeness testifies to just how much influence the music back then truly had. " The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost caught the last train for the coast, the day the music died". Sound familar?

**** MURDER BY IGNORANCE ****
07.21.08 (10:50 am)   [edit]

I was viewing the national news the other day on CBC, and the major headline read like a regular Toronto Star or Toronto Sun article " 3 killed outside of nightclub". Well I certainly cannot feign surprise at this happening in "glorious" Toronto, Canada's largest city because of late Toronto has become  somewhat of a "mini" New York City with all the deaths that are attributed to the use of guns.

Of course most of us already realize that people use guns due to a lack of security about themselves (big surprise). Growing up in Toronto in the early sixties, we as kids and adults did not have to contend with moronic displays of so called "manhood" and the idea of a gang- related anything was more like a "Happy Days" episode with the Fonz. Of course the gangs nowadays attribute their behavior to growing up poor or "oh gee I had such a terrible childhood" and it is all my parents fault! Well the fact is these morons who run with gangs with no consideration for who they hurt or maim are nothing more than a bunch of illiterate cowards who feel as long as they have the use of a gun they are "kings of the county"!

The use of any gun is only intended to either injure someone or end a life and anything said any different is a total fabrication of the highest order. A lot of the crime that occurs within Toronto's boundaries can be placed at the feet of newly arrived immigrants from third world countries. What really pisses me off is that Canadian authorities allow these people to remain in this country while they continue to break our laws over and over again. I thought that immigration authorities were suppose to deport these for the lack of a better word "people" when such laws are broken? Well guess who again is not doing their job....the politicians who supposedly make these laws. What the hell is the point in even having a judicial system when these laws are not being properly enforced.

Instead of being thankful for the opportunity to improve their lives as opposed to where the came from they would rather murder innocent people and flout their ability to snub their nose at the law. Now mind you these individuals only represent the smallest percentages of those who wish to come to Canada to seek their fame and fortune, while for the most part the rest are thankful to Canada for being given the chance to have a better life and they show it by becoming valuable contributing citizens who are deservant of all the breaks this country will allow them. By the way, such organizations as the National Rifle Association in the United States should not only be banned for their continued lobbying for their right to bear arms but more to the point they should realize it is guns that kill people not so much as the person who uses it!

**** MUST I STILL HAVE TO GROW UP? ****
07.16.08 (12:09 pm)   [edit]

When I first became part of this community on "Tblog.com" I found intially that I felt I had discovered a new venue to voice my thoughts and feelings, regardless of the context of material that I may have been writing. I also felt a part of the greater whole in this community with respect to developing new friendships on line and felt more at ease to discuss myself and the issues that I tended to think were important to me. Initially the feedback I received was greatly appreciated and I attempted to answer each "t-mail and comment" individually and for the most part I was successful at doing this.

However as the weeks passed into months I became quite prolific in the quantity of material I was posting yet the context of my writings were becoming more bland with each piece posted. The response that I gathered was far from the positive suggestions or comments I had previously received and now were becoming more critical than I would have liked. But of course one has too deal not only with the positive but as well, the negative things that may come my way regardless of whether I like it or not.

The point being that I eventually found that I had a lot of growing up to do not only in the area of posting my thoughts on line, but also in the acceptance of other individuals' criticism and feedback. Like all people I have found that I have little nuances in my character that sometimes gives me the feeling that intellectually I am far above most other people and superior in my opinions of certain issues that we all face every now and then. Since being on Tblog, I have found just recently that my character has been considerably humbled by some comments I have received from other "Tbloggers" regarding some of the issues I have written about. I guess I am not perhaps as perfect as I thought I was and in discovering so have toned down my own criticisms of other peoples' postings.

It is not the easiest thing for a person like myself to truly admit when they are in error, but grudging I am beginning to see that the world does not rotate on its' axis with every little thing I say or do nor does the world stop spinning just because I do! Just only recently I feel I have been blacklisted or at the very least abandoned by other Tbloggers because of past mistakes I may have inadvertently made and which resulted in horrible consequences for myself as well as a few other members of this community. Now this may simply be me feeling self-pity which we all are prone to do every now and then but then again maybe not. Please let me know if I have offended anyone out there in some particular and maybe perhaps if I can recognize my errant ways I can find a suitable solution for all parties involved. I truly do not like this feeling of having done something wrong yet cannot pinpoint what it may be. So feel free to offer constructive criticism or otherwise with respect to what I post or any other "beef" that you may have. Thank you for listening and to all of you have a great week!

**** WILL TOMORROW HAPPEN? ****
07.14.08 (10:40 am)   [edit]

This past Saturday night I had the opportunity to watch a movie entitled "The Day After Tomorrow" about the possibility of the earth and the consequences of  the effects of "global warming on a planetary scale. In as much as it was not believable in some respects it did give a reasonable presentation of what possibly could or might happen if such a scenario ever did develop.

Scientists have been voicing there concerns about global warming for the last 20 years and only recently have the individual governments on this planet taken it seriously as a planetary threat. Although there is only suffient data that is given by scientists to support this argument, it is fair to assume that thet are not screaming wolf" just yet. The essence of this movie is to establish what would happen if the polar icecaps started to melt at an alarming rate and just how vulnerable the east coast of the North American continent would be to such a potentially deadly disaster.

Now whether or not the actual results of the melting of the icecaps would follow as indicated in the movie is not the point the producers of this movie were trying to get across. They essentially wanted the public to see what could happen and just how vulnerable we "ALL" could be to such things. One of the issues that this movie did not touch upon was how far inland this water would extend and just how high it would ultimately become. Also, how long would it take to reach its' crest. In as much as I would prefer to not consider the events of this movie factual the possibility does exist that such a catastrophy could occur. Do you think that this scenariop is a possibility or can we just say this is only a movie and continue to ignore such warnings. If you saw the movie what did you think of it?  **** TIMM17

**** SECOND RATE LOVE...WHO NEEDS IT ****
07.12.08 (10:36 am)   [edit]

You claim your heart is still broken, let the record show this is true**This morning I awake to a heart beating so fast**

Songbirds sing harmonies of your love**To let you know you are once again in safe arms**but whose arms shall they be**

Do you see things as they are or things as they seem to be**Love is not a yesterday thing then gone for it is the moment of right now**Just the expression is lacking**

Why must you limit the affection shown to me**Does it gratify you to know this is killing me**For what purpose must I be your victim, for even I know when enough is enough**

Twist my heart, bend my soul take my mind to depths of despair**I often wonder why I stay and accept such crap from you**

I am seriously thinking about leaving you like your love for me left many months ago**Even though I am so unlike you I cannot just hurt people at will**

Seasons change and so must I and you are not my future**Whereas you sir can go straight to hell on the express to nowhere**My pain is far to great to leave it in the hands of a bastard such as you**

So take your second rate love and you know what may be done with it**I have no mind, no time and am not inclined to be a part of this sham no more**I am free....you will never be!

**** CHESS FUN? ABSOLUTELY! ****
07.10.08 (11:39 am)   [edit]

CHESS (WHAT AN AMAZING GAME)

Just recently I have given serious thought to once again try my hand at chess again. Many years ago as a young adult I became quite profficient at the game of stress because of my knowledge of mathematics and my zeal for strategy. Being so competitive as I was I experienced very few defeats and in the rare event that I did lose or draw a game I thoroughly lambasted myself for making what would turn out to be a major mistake of a move and thus lose my willingness to concentrate on the game at hand.

For the most part I have always considered the game of chess a contest of two opposing intellects attemptin g to prove their superiority over one another. Of course this type of pattern of thinking can often result in disasterous results. Each game that I play I attempt to focus in on my move next and for the moment not single out my opponent's style of play as this can lead to you playing his game instead of your own.

This game at times can become very frustrating in particular if you are not quite sure of what move to proceed with next. Personally I have never really had a difficulty with this, however I have become exasperated at times when the individual that I am currently competing against mumbles their own frustrations under their "breath". I just feel that if you have some complaint or whatever you should express it before the game or at the time of the conclusion of the game.

As I have grown older my will to be as "gung ho" as I use to be has diminished considerably and this does not wear well with a lust for winning at all costs. Just very recently I have chosen to re-enter the game of chess but far from the level I was formerly comfortable with. Although one never can really ever forget how to play this game we call chess, once the competitive spirit has left you it gradually becomes evident that it is more vital the spirit of the game then the winning of the game. Chess is also a great way to relieve any stress you might feel about anything and one learns how to be patient or at the very least develop a tolerance for their own miscues while they play an opponent. Only now have I discovered that this game can be fun and relaxing if you approach it with an "I don't care if I win or not attitude" and if you feel any other way be prepared for disappointment within yourself and of course we all know how much we like to experience that right. (NOT). Play the game and I hope you will discover a new way to keep your mind stimulated and young.

**** THE QUESTION ****
07.07.08 (10:32 am)   [edit]

When the pain hurts too much what do you do**When your heart feels left behind where do you go**When the sun rises on a new day do you feel refreshed**Why do you wear your heart on your "sleeve"**Where do you hide the key to your heart and just who really rules your world**

When you "blackout" from drinking to much does it scare you to find out what really stupid things you said and did**Does your best friend really have your best interests at heart and if so who's heart**Is it really alright to expose anothers' shortcomings**Is it right to always admit when you are wrong and of so why**

When push comes to shove what is your reaction**When the emotional pain of a doomed relationship becomes too much do you cut yourself to seek relief from the pain**Will you allow there to be a tomorrow for yourself**

Do you direct all pain inwardly so that you will not lash out at friends and loved ones**And why can't a loved one be a friend also**Is it the end of the world when no matter what you seem to do turns bad**Are you part of the solution or part of nothing**Is pity really an under valued trait**

When loves come calling why is it sometimes the wrong number**Have you ever counted to ten(10) to catch your breath and instead only caught a cold**If you don't bring her flowers anymore just where the hell are they going and what's her name**Would you rather pass the buck or spend it**If everything comes down why are you never up**

Are these questions really necessary and if not turn the page please!

**** MIMI, OH MY, MY ****
07.05.08 (11:26 am)   [edit]

GWhen we say goodbye to a person just what part are we saying adios to?  There is an old saying that people say quite often "I will cross that bridge when I come to it" when one wants to pursue something so anxiously. I have seemingly lived by the phrase "I'll burn that bridge when I come to it" leaving people as well as myself, pondering what the hell did he do that for! I have noticed just recently that a long standing "T-blogger" has signed off all of a sudden leaving myself as well as many other r-bloggers wondering what is happening with this individual.

This particular individual is well loved and respected within this internite site and no doubt other sites as well so it is little wonder we are so concerned about him/her. Over the time that I have been on this site I have personally witnessed and can attest that this person has had such respect from other T-bloggers, that it is almost the very sad passing of a person who's blogs were for the most part well worth reading and at times very hilarious in their context.( I do not mean this person has died when I use the word "passing").

From a personal standpoint, being aware of certain things going on in this individuals' life in recent months I should not be so surprised that something like this would occur. In a sense I somehow feel a bit responsible for this person leaving "t-Blog" whether it is temporary or permanently yet I perhaps have nothing to do with this person's parting from T-blog at all. Whatever reasons this individual has for leaving this site may never be known but one thing is most definite and that is this person will be sorely missed not just for her blogs but her sense of irony and great humor.

As time goes by hopefully we shall discover why this has happened and regardless of whether or not we understand this reasoning this person shall be welcomed back to "T-Blog" with open arms and above all an open heart. To this person today, I salute you for the person that you have become. Take care and may fortune shine for you now, tomorrow and always. "LPH"

**** WHAT IS WORTH TO YOU ****
07.03.08 (10:35 am)   [edit]

To say hello sometimes is not really worth....To say goodbye may be entirely worth it....Sometimes the worth of all knowledge is very weighing for the mind....Is there really a true definable worth for love....Do you place a worth on the friendships you have....Are you worthy of having such friends and are they worthy of having you as their friend....To carry aa secret for all of your life about yourself, is it really worth it....Is it worth it to have children and let them break your heart as the years pass....What is the true worth of your soul and would you sell it....Is everything worth the effort we put out to gain material things....Is it worth it confiding in a friend about the evil you do....What shall the worth of someone's friendship when they have betrayed you....Is it really worth the your time to listen to someone....Is it really worth it to suck up to the boss and hoping for a raise....Is it worth it to spend your life being incarcerated....What is the worth of your time....Who is really worthy of your love and trust....Is it really worth it to argue over trivial things....Were the consequences of your actions worth it....Is it really worth getting up in the morning....why is it worth it to buy something you really don't need....Are you worthy of living....When we meet someone new are they worth getting to know....Is oil worth the time to fight over and if so who should be doing the fighting....If a dollar is not worth the paper it is written on why do we have it....Is the weight of all things truly worth it!
