**** I AM YOUR FLOWER ****
05.12.08 (7:56 pm)   [edit]

You have long been a pursuer of my flower, the one that has proved so elusive, let me comfort you with a death so glorious****

Out of the blue came you out of the mists came I, a seeker of the new experience a puzzle yet to be completed all so very new****

Pieces that fit together not always to match, love as hate not always equal, yet hope shall be a match for my despair when this flower may gasp no more****

Sunlight does not always allow all things to grow to bloom, night cannot always signal the ending of the day, there is always you awaiting the the time****

A path do I follow not so important where it ends, ther is no starting point to suggest any danger that you may succumb by****

Heroes well they are just for the dreamer, a fantasy I choose not to afford, what I have seen has been too much too soon****

Glory is not all it should be nor can it redeem you from yourself, it is very short lived so time knows no side, so now the flower belongs to me****

** WHAT ABOUT MOTHERS YOU SAY! **
05.11.08 (6:19 pm)   [edit]

LaughingFirst of all I would like to wish all mothers on   this day a Happy's Mother Day! As I think of all the mothers this day that have made so many sacrifices for their children, I wonder how my mother would have celebrated this holiday. Not ever really knowing my mother at all, I often think back about the times when I use to ask my father whatever happened to my mother and where was she when I was just a child.

My fathers' well rehearsed response was always the same "I don't want to talk about it and don't ever mention "that" name in this house ever again. Well after a few years this became more and more like the sound of  a broken record, and all us kids just became deaf to this answer and just stopped asking questions. The only time that I ever gave my mother a thought was when other peoples' kids referred to their mothers and fathers and made me feel like the b-----d that I was! Imagine being 7 years old and having kids your own age call you this. I wouldn't exactly call it boosting my confidence level would you?

I still wonder today at times where did these kids ever learn these kinds of words and how did they know to apply that word to my circumstances. During the era that I was born and raised no one really talked so openly as now about what was considered then a social taboo sort of thing. I could always hear them whisper as I walked by them whether during "recess" or on the way to and fro from school, and they would point at me but pretend that they were discussing something else.

Since that day when we met as a group, we brothers rarely if ever talk about what ever happened to our mother and although years later one of my brothers located our mother by pure chance, I became the only one in the family not to have seen and visited my mother who at one time lived less than an hour's drive from where my home was located. Now I would be the first one to confess that perhaps I should have visited my mother while she was still alive, but my curiosity never reached a point enough to push me to go see her.

So what I would like to say in conclusion to all kids who feel that they would be better off without their parents and especially their mothers, you only have one mother in your lifetime so take heed and be grateful for the fact that your mother is there for you and treat her kindly for you to as well live only one lifetime!

**** TAKE ME AWAY ****
05.09.08 (7:54 pm)   [edit]

It seems that everytime I look on most sites I ususally find someone offering a Top-10 list of one thing or another and after now I feel so left out that I shall write my own list and finally prove once and for all that I am a truly boring and semi- moronic aspiring to be  no-talented, obtuse citizen of Planet Earth!

    & nbsp;   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;     ; My Top Ten(10) Favorite Songs   &n bsp;   &nb sp;   &nbs p;

(1) Poems, Prayers and Promises by **** John Denver.

(2) Pali Gap by **** Jimi Hendrix

(3) Minstrel Gypsy by**** The Stampeders

(4) Samba Ti by **** Santana

(5) WildFlower by **** SkyLark

(6) Rocky Mountain High by ****John Denver

(7) Loving You Aint Easy by **** Pagliaro

(8) Blues for Baby and Me by **** Elton John

(9) The Moon is a Harsh Mistress by **** Glen Campbell

(10) Lets Stay Together by **** Al Green

Now that I have "completed" my Top 10 list of songs I must warn you that there is "no accounting for ones' taste" especially  my own. But as with most Top 10 lists of anything, anything can be improved and my list is no different. These 10 songs that I have listed do something to the inside of me that makes me feel like the Sun, Wind, Rain and Fire at the same time just taking to a place that I cannot ever describe in words. I think most of you will be able to relate to a similar experience of feeling such as this. Take care and adios for now!

**** HILLARY NO, BARACK YES? ****
05.08.08 (3:56 pm)   [edit]

Having just recently read the results of the latest primaries, and with Barack Obama winning quite easily in North Carolina and with an overall delegate total 152 more than Hillary Rodham Clinton I am beginning to feel that Hillary may not be able to achieve enough success with the remaining delegates to "overtake" Mr.Obama! Who would have thought even a year ago that anyone would give Ms:Clinton a run for her money literally!

With Clinton having her coffers filled with millions of dollars in political contributions and millions more on the way and with an organization in place throughout the United States she was naturally thought to be a "shoe-in" for the Democratic nomination come election time this November. But guess what, something or should I also say someone happened along the way and a not so well known young senator named Barack Obama came to the surface to meet her challenge! With an outstanding ability for oration and a charismatic personality people arrived in "droves" to support Obama in his bid for the Democratic nomination and hopefully onward to the White House!

Over the last year beginning with his well placed showings in Iowa and New Hampshire, Mr.Obama's organization began to congeal and started to make inroads on his bid for the Presidency of the United States. Mrs.Clinton went from looking over her shoulder to seeing Obama's back instead, not a sight I believe many supporters of her would ever have ever imagined. Now as the nomination for the Democrats is in the home stretch, many who were in denial about Obama's chances of winning the nomination, are jumping on his "bandwagon" and looking very foolish I might add at the same time!

In the final analysis, it just goes to show that regardless of how well you are known politically and regardless of a well oiled political machine in place with millions of dollars in "donations" nothing is ever over until it is over. Even if by some fluke Clinton does come from behind to win the nomination, this "race" for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency will go down in American political history as not only the closest and tightest race ever seen but most of all of how it opened the doors for all people who might someday and one day desire to be the President of the United States!

PART - 2 OF "TELE-EVANGELISTS....DO WE REALLY NEED THEM!
05.06.08 (12:44 pm)   [edit]

As a continuation from Part-1 , or should I say the conclusion I shall focus more on the evangelists' victims namely the elderly. Let's begin with that honky tonk piano playing whiz and good ole' boy Jimmy Swaggart.

Having had the knack since early childhood to espouse the Gospel according to "Jimmy" in public "arenas", it almost came second nature to "Swaggart" to get the attention of people at various rallys that he spoke at. So it did not come as a surprise to anyone when he made the transition from pulpit preacher to a super slick tele-evangelist on a national scale. Being a cousin of rock and roll great Jerry Lee Lewis, one could see the remarkable similarities in a show business kind of way when it came to entertaining an audience. Plain and simply put, he was a natural.

With his natural flair on the piano and that down home country good looks with that slicked back hair, he crashed on the Christian television scene like a comet descending from heaven. His audience mostly made up of seniors and shut-ins, poured dollar after dollar of their pittance of an income into his ministry when they barely could afford to feed and clothe themselves. Many of these poor destitute souls lost their entire savings to this "agent" of God and because in the end they felt so embarrassed for being "taken" they literally refused to seek their money back nor have him charged with a felony.

As the years passed and as Swaggart became hugely wealthy from ripping off his flock of "suckers" he started to become just a bit over confident until one day his followers woke up to a national headline stating "Swaggart caught with prostitute"! Well to make a long story short, good ole' boy Jimmy's ministry practically disappeared overnight. Following the many investigations that followed this "scandal", Swaggart all but disappeared from the airwaves until the late 1990's when he sought forgiveness from the public for his errant ways. Well wouldn't you know it, redemption came all too easy for Mr. Swaggart once more and now each Sunday his "message" is broadcast to millions nationally , and the coffers of his ministry are once more overflowing to the tune of millions of dollars. The not so surprising thing about all of this is that a lot of his "income" is derived from those very same "poor souls" that were preyed on by him oh' so many years ago. I guess it is true the old phrase " that if one does not learn from past mistakes then history is surely to repeat itself.!

**** THE FRAUDS **** PART - 1 of 2
05.04.08 (4:13 pm)   [edit]

Since today is Sunday I think I will address my topic towards those "fun-loving" enthusiasts of the Lord.....television evangelists and their "followers".

Back in the early 1980's when these television "preachers" were coming out of the "woodwork" literally, they were received with open arms by a vast majority of the population as the saviors of potentially millions of unsuspecting souls and little did we know then the chaos and confusion that would follow some of these "Judas'"! Such prominant TV evangelists as Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, Oral Roberts and lest we forget that honky tonk tearjerking whiz on the piano "Jimmy Swaggart"

First let us take a look at the "PTL"Club and their theme park created by these two (Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker). These two had a mass appeal with not only "shut-ins" and the elderly but also to a large extent the youth of their day also. As they sat daily on a beautifully prepared stage spewing quotes from the Bible and saying Amen in the Lord's name, they tactics of coertion, manipulation, and playing on the guilt of people in general and in particular the elderly were drawing in donations from viewers to the tune of millions of dollars each week. All of the money brought in by people pledging so much a month or years or one time huge donations, afforded the Bakkers such a luxurious lifestyle, that even the Kennedys and Rockerfellers would have been hard pressed to match their elitist way of living.

It was even rumored at one time that the Bakkers had a Rolls Royce for evey day of the week which ultimately became true. Of course as what happens to most charlatans like the Bakkers they and in this case it was literally true, were caught with their pant down with Jim having an affair with one Jessica Hahn and having to pay Mrs. Hahn a substancial price to keep her silence, which in the end she did neither!

You see, it is these kinds of individuals who have forsaken the truly lost and have only enhanced the believe that all tele-evangalists are nothing more than frauds and parasites living off the kindness of the infirmed and weak who essentially are elderly people who are the major base of income for these "fly by night ministries". Supposedly these ministries are to be a non-profit organization who because of this status also become tax exempt.

PART - 2 to be written at a later date!

**** SUNRISES, SUNSETS, LOVE, PEACE and HARMONY ****
05.01.08 (11:14 pm)   [edit]

After working so hard for go long I have finally decided to go on vacation for a couple of months with my favorite niece. It has been a long time since I last traveled but when I do I usually am away for quite longer than I usually plan for. However this time with company (niece), I believe that I will find it much more enjoyable because in many ways she is similar to me!

Since we will be leaving in the first week of May  we have decided to drive down and take our time in perhaps go from coast to coast. It has been a while since I last saw Los Angeles (LA) or San Franciso or even take a drive through the Hollywood Hills and Laurel Canyon, a time spent back in the old hippie days of the  late 60's and early 1970's. About the only thing that will be substancially different, will be that we will have a laptop with on our journey so that we may e-mail back to family members and of course fellow Tbloggers about what a wonderful time we are having and making every one else envious for our "free spirited" ways. (lol).

One of our major stops along our travels will be visiting Orlando, Florida where a very good friend of time will be hosting us for a short while. From there we shall venture to Cuba (Havana) then make our way to Guatemala in Central America via the Pan American Highway. If any of you on Tblog would like us to send you back photos from our trip please feel free to contact me anytime okay.
